Govansha Dattak Yojana
The Govansha Dattak Yojana provides devotees with a meaningful opportunity to adopt a cow and become an active participant in the noble mission of protecting and preserving Gau Mata.
Under this scheme, the adopted cow continues to reside in the Gaushala, where it receives lifelong care, nutritious fodder, clean shelter, regular veterinary treatment, and compassionate attention from dedicated Gausevaks. A contribution of ₹36,500 per year sponsors the complete annual care and maintenance of one cow.
This includes its daily nutrition, healthcare, hygiene, shelter maintenance, and overall well-being. Through this contribution, the devotee assumes the role of a guardian while the Gaushala remains responsible for the cow’s day-to-day care and protection. As part of this sacred tradition, the devotee is invited to perform Gau Pujan, seek the divine blessings of Gau Mata, and ceremonially name the adopted cow.
This creates a lasting spiritual bond between the devotee and the cow, making the act of adoption deeply personal and spiritually rewarding. By joining the Govansha Dattak Yojana, devotees also become partners in conserving India’s indigenous cattle breeds, preventing the abandonment of unproductive cattle, and supporting the humanitarian mission of Gomantak Gausevak Mahasangh to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide lifelong protection to thousands of cows.
