Shikeri Goshala

Shikeri Goshala was established in the year 2015. Gomantak Gausevak Mahasangh took action against many slaughter houses along with other NGOs and closed them down, but after closing these slaughter houses there were questions about cows which were rescued from these slaughter houses.

So the main motto behind starting Shikeri Goshala was to take care, to rehabilitate and to give shelter to those cows rescued from slaughter houses. Gomantak Gausevak Mahasangh Shikeri Goshala, took initiative on 30th April 2015 to start sikeri Goshala and currently, this Goshala is taking care of more than 2700 stray, injured and cow rescued from slaughter houses.

Shwet Kapila

Shwet Kapila Cow is an Goan Registered Breed, this cow is Short to medium statured, complete white coloured (including muzzle and eyelashes). This cattle prominently found in coastal areas of Goa which is considered as producing milk with medicinal qualities, Shwet Kapila cow gives A2 types of milk. This cow has capabilities sustaining adverse climatic conditions like hot and humid weather. Shikeri Goshala has 100+ Shwet Kapila cows.
